DESCRIPTION

This is a concentrated anti-gel product used to keep all types of fuel and diesel oils flowing in cold weather. By interfering with the formation of wax crystals in the fuel, the pour point of the fuel can be reduced by as much as 25 degrees. Fuel flows easily through lines and filters without the need for tank heaters. Eliminates dangerous failures of oil fired boilers, furnaces, and diesel truck and generator engines in cold weather. When used as directed this product will produce more power and efficiency, less smoke, reduce moisture and sludge in fuel. This product cleans varnish from the moving parts of the transfer pumps and injector system, it cleans injectors, fuel pumps and fillers. Results in uniform spray pattern, gives even burning and easy starting.

DIRECTIONS (COLD WEATHER TREATMENT)

Add to all grades of fuel at the rate of 1 pint per 150 gallons or 1 gallon per each 1200 gallons of fuel. This dosage will lower the pour point of most residue fuels by approximately 25 degrees. In some cases additional treatment will lower the pour point by several more degrees. For best results the fuel should be at least 10 degrees F. above normal pour point when anti-gel additive is blended in.

DIRECTIONS (WARM WEATHER TREATMENT)

1. Pour 1 gallon of product for each 1600 gallons of fuel in storage tank.
2. For fuel tanks on equipment add 1 pint for every 200 gallons of fuel.

CAUTION: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

Contains Petroleum Distillates, Emulsifiers, detergent and anti coagulants. Keep away from heat and open flame. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. In case of eye contact with eyes, flood repeatedly with water. (In either case, call pysician.) Use with adequate ventilation.

Fuel stability tests prove the benefits of PRO-Tunique stabilization chemistry. In the ASTM D2274 accelerated stability test, fuel is heated for 16 hours and then run through a filter. If agglomerations of carbon and other matter form, then they are captured in the filter and weighed. An unstable fuel will produce a large amount of matter in the filter, whereas, a stable fuel, which combusts more completely, will produce much less matter.


All testing on PRO-Treatment products is conducted by independent, third party petroleum testing laboratories. These are the same laboratories used by major oil refiners to conduct quality control testing on today's modern gasoline, diesel and heavy fuel oils. PRO-T vs Soltron


In recent months some of our clients in Southern California told us of claims made by a representative of "Soltron", a product made with Odorless Mineral Spirits, a form of high-grade kerosene. Soltron claims that the product contains biological enzymes that "eat" impurities in fuel, hence improve fuel stability.
We had Soltron evaluated for its claims by Saybolt, a well respected international petroleum testing laboratory. The industry standard ASTM-D2274 testing provided the following results.

Soltron recently contacted PRI and questioned the ASTM D2274 test protocol, explaining that their product must be tested by Soltron's own "special protocol" so as to give their product "time to work". Fact is, the ASTM-D 2274 is a standard test protocol universally accepted by refiners and petroleum chemists.


PRO-T vz. MPW 1000 (IFLC)

Last year PRO-T was recommended to a client experiencing a complete engine shut down due to severely degraded fuel. We had a sample of the fuel sent to Caleb Brett laboratories in Port Everglades, FL for analysis. The result? Some of the worst fuel we have ever seen. Based on the tests results below, the client treated all 60,000 gallons of the fuel with PRO-S and has run his power generation units without difficulty ever since.
This sample of degraded fuel also provided an opportunity to have the MPW1000 stabilizer tested. This is a product manufactured in New Mexico and private labeled under the MPW name and sold in certain areas of central Florida. Once again, independent laboratory tests confirm the overwhelming superiority of PRO-T Advanced technology.

Dupont/Octel Stability Testing

Another useful, industry accepted method is the Dupont/Octel stability test. In this test, the fuel is heated to 90 degrees for 90 minutes, and passed through a filter. The color of the filter is compared against a standard reference blotter where filter color is indexed by numbers from 1-to-20, 20 being the darkest. A result of 7 or lower is considered to have "passed" the test.

The first example is of fuel taken from the tank of a standby generator operated by a telephone company in the U.S. Southwest. The fuel was severely degraded and considered unusable. The application of PRO-T to the fuel returned it to an acceptable standard.

 The third example is of a fuel discovered in storage on a mining site near Green River, Wyoming. Records confirmed the fuel was in storage 32-years. This fuel was treated with PRO-T, and successfully used instead of being discarded as waste fuel.

PRO-T For Motor Ships



NOx Reduction: PRO-T treated fuel was in an RTA Sulzer 12RTA84 powered motor ship and emissions were monitored. PRO-T provided an impressive 24% reduction in NOx.
SO2 Reduction: At the same time, PRO-S reduced emissions of SO2 more than 9.6%, and those of carbon monoxide more than 7.0%.
Smoke Opacity Reduction: On two cruise ships operating in Alaska,

PRO-T new PRO-SGI Emissions Control Formula resulted in smoke opacity reductions of 42% and 82% respectively, based on EPA and Alaska State Department of Environmental Conservation data.

Diesel Treatment For Emissions

Proven Smoke Opacity Reductions:

Since 1992 in more than 10,000 California Air Resources Board (CARB) mandatory diesel smoke opacity tests, PRI's PRI-D treatment for mid-distillate fuels has resulted in an average smoke opacity reduction of 33%. Based on public transit and school bus fleet testing, results ranged from 19-to-60% smoke opacity reductions with PRO-T treated fuel, depending on engine type.

Results from mandatory Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) air sampling tests in underground mines also confirm that usage of PRO-T resulted in an average 14% reduction of NOx on diesel-powered, underground mining equipment.

Power Plant Test - EMD Engines:

In a recent test of two land-based EMD engines at a power generating facility in Southern California, PRI-D application to CARB diesel fuel (0.02% sulfur) resulted in reduced NOx emissons of 6.5-to-7.2% respectively. Data was recorded by South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) continuous emissions monitoring equipment.

Additionally, an independent nationwide study of commercial diesel treatments conducted by the Pasadena Research Institute confirms that PRO-T is the most effective diesel fuel treatment in the U.S. for smoke opacity reduction and fuel efficiency improvement.

PRO-T Gas Treatment For Emissions

Proven HC and NOx Reductions:

The same chemistry proven to reduce emissions at oil-fired power plants and in diesel engines has also established a solid record reducing emissions from gasoline engines. Independent evaluations conducted over the past 30 years have established that PRO-T chemistry reduces both unburned hydrocarbons and NOx.

Among the most recent examples of PRI-G capabilities is a test conducted on a 1988 Buick, six-cylinder engine with more than 150,000 miles on the odometer. PRO-T: #1 In Gasoline Stability!

The industry-accepted test method to determine the oxidation stability of gasoline in its finished form is the ASTM D-525-98 (Induction Period Method). In this test, gasoline is placed in an oxygen charged steel pressure chamber known as a "bomb". The "bomb" is heated, and pressure within is measured over time.
When the gasoline begins to absorb oxygen (becoming oxidized and unstable), the pressure drops. Hence, the longer the pressure is maintained, the more stable the gasoline. Time measurement is in minutes. In this test, we chose Chevron gasoline already treated with Techroline® - one of the most stable fuels on the market. Our objective was to show the degree to which PRO-T  can improve an already excellent gasoline - hence providing maximum performance with the least amount of carbon deposition.

HOW IT WORKS


Since fuel is an organic material, it begins to age and deteriorate the minute it leaves the refinery. By the time you put "fresh" fuel in your tank, it has already aged considerably. Fuel continues to age as it sits in your tank, but worse yet, this aging process is accelerated during combustion.


Some things age gracefully, but fuel doesn't. During the aging process, masses of carbon, gum, and resin form in your fuel. These masses become too large to burn completely, and the combustion process is compromised. The photograph at bottom shows a "fresh" fuel just prior to combustion. Notice the dark areas, where such masses have formed in the fuel. These masses will not combust completely.



So what is the result of this aging process and incomplete combustion? Your engine does not perform as designed. Fuel burns less efficiently. Energy and power are lost. Fuel efficiency is reduced. The unburned matter forms abrasive, damaging deposits on your engine and fuel system. In the end, your engine delivers less and wears out faster.

To solve this aging problem, we look at why fuels age in the first place. Fuels age because they become "chemically unstable". During transportation, storage and use, fuels are exposed to oxygen and heat. This exposure causes the atoms in the fuel lose their balance (i.e. become unstable), molecular reactions take place, and the aging process begins. This happens to all fuels, even today's reformulated "clean" fuels.

The good news is, this aging process can be halted and even reversed. If the fuel is kept in balance - kept "chemically stable" - then aging does not occur. This is exactly what PRO-T Fuel Treatments do! This is why PRO-TREATMENT

At top is one of the PRO-TEK work trucks - a 1990 Chevy 1/2 ton Silverado. Why not just use a traditional fuel additive? We have found that enhancing stability is the best way to get the most out of your fuel. Traditional fuel additives seek to improve combustion, but they do it by changing your fuel, boosting cetane or octane, or adding foreign ingredients.
